The board of directors for Orange Grove Center has named Tera Roberts as the new executive director, succeeding Kyle Hauth, who will be retiring Nov. 8.

Roberts, who was chosen from a field of 100 applicants, has already served Orange Grove for 24 years, most recently as the director of adult services. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Georgia and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

In her current role, she has successfully overseen significant changes in operations at the organization to comply with the federal Settings Rule.

“Orange Grove has a long history of collaborative partnerships within every sector of our greater community, and I look forward to building on that as we continue to meet the needs of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities,” Roberts said.

Hauth, who has served as Orange Grove’s executive director since July, 2005, announced his retirement in April.

“What makes it much easier to retire is knowing how supportive this community has always been of Orange Grove,” he said.
